Mrs. Belinda Aderonke Odeneye
Board Chairperson
Mrs Odeneye the current Board Chairperson of Lagos Waste Forum, was a former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of the Environment Lagos. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Chemistry from University of Ilorin, and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Pollution Control from the University of Leeds.
She has decades of experience in both the Public Service of the Federal Government of Nigeria and Lagos State. Having worked for 23 years as a Scientific Officer at the Federal Ministry of Works and the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) which metamorphosed from the Environmental Planning and Protection Division of the Federal Ministry of Environment, she transferred her service to Lagos State in 2010 where she has worked at the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, Lagos State Safety Commission and the Environmental Services Department of the Ministry of the Environment.
In addition, she is a Fellow of Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) and Specialist member of the United Kingdom based International Institution of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). She also holds the membership of many Non-Governmental Organisations including the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Waste Management Society of Nigeria (WAMASON) and Friends of Environment Society (FOTE) among others.
